In case of sulphur deficiency roots are very ramified and longer than normal. They are white in colour.

Sulphur deficiency causes uniform yellow green chlorosis on youngest leaves first. With progressing deficiency the whole plant turns to light green or yellow colour. Growth is clearly restricted.
